This project focused on wayfinding for an event: Normal’s Parks Scavenger Hunt. Families participated by completing a checklist of activities at several local parks, all close to each other. To guide participants, I created a custom wayfinding map, along with custom icon systems for each scavenger hunt activity, which were all placed on their own map at their respective parks.

Given that the target audience was families with young children, I designed the icons and color palette to be bright, fun, and kid-friendly. The use of playful, vibrant colors was intentional to appeal to children and make the experience more engaging. I also incorporated a magnifying glass as a recurring design element, featured in the wordmark and next to each park's name. This symbol was fitting as it is widely associated with searching and exploration.

Each park had its own unique design element, which is reflected in the banners and stamps used for the event. Participants could collect stamps in their brochures, with each park offering a distinct stamp to mark the completion of its corresponding scavenger hunt activity.
