WATER SCARCITY RIPPLE EFFECT

For this project, I created a global campaign and brand focused on raising awareness about water scarcity. I began by designing a wordmark logo that illustrates the core issue of the campaign. The brochure provides general information about water scarcity, including who it affects, what it is, and where it is most prevalent. 

To enhance the design, I developed a custom die line for the brochure, incorporating a ripple effect that symbolizes the spreading impact of water scarcity. In addition, I created a series of awareness posters, each highlighting a specific region with varying levels of water scarcity. The posters feature densely packed text that changes in each design to reflect the severity of the threat in each location. In the poster series, blue represents water, while orange represents scarcity. I selected three countries with various levels of water scarcity to highlight the issue in diverse contexts. To make the problem more personal, I included images of people in the posters, emphasizing how water scarcity impacts real individuals rather than abstract countries. 

I also designed an Instagram carousel that presents a timeline of water scarcity in the specific case of the Aral Sea, offering a detailed case study of this environmental crisis. Finally, I created merchandise items featuring the campaign logo so that further awareness could be spread on a day-to-day basis.
